Suran Wijesinghe appointed to NTB Board

Nations Trust Bank announced yesterday the appointment of Suran Wijesinghe as a Director on the Board of the bank.

He is currently an Executive Vice President at John Keells Holdings and is the Chief Financial Officer of the Financial Services Sector of the Group (comprising NTB, Union Assurance and John Keells Stockbrokers) after joining in January 2004.

Wijesinghe is a Fellow Member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of UK. He has over 30 years of work experience in the fields of auditing, financial management and general management which has been acquired while serving in organisations both locally and overseas.

Prior to joining the John Keells Group, he was employed in Botswana for 12 years, initially as the Group Finance Manager and thereafter as the Group Finance Director of Securicor Botswana Ltd. (formerly known as Inco Holdings Ltd), a company listed on the Botswana Stock Exchange.
