The Bank of Ceylon rewards BOC Senior Citizens Account holders

In tribute to the senior citizens of our country for their contribution to the nation, the Bank of Ceylon, Sri Lankas No. 1 bank, selected 100 Senior Citizens account holders at a ceremony held at the bank’s auditorium on 11 February 2014 to award health care gift packs based on the criteria set for the promotion in October 2013. This draw was held in the presence of the Bank of Ceylon General Manager D.M. Gunasekara, Senior DGM (Sales and Channel Management) H.M. Mudiyanse, corporate and executive management.
This valuable gift pack consists of a digital glucometer and a blood pressure meter to check their health regularly with ease. The draw was conducted province-wise and the gift packs will be delivered to their doorsteps by the respective branch staff.
BOC Senior Citizens account holders who maintained Rs. 10,000 for a continuous period of two months from 11 October, 2013 till 31 January, 2014 were qualified to enter this draw. The names of the winners will be notified shortly.
The Bank of Ceylon Senior Citizens account unveils unique benefits for account holders to face their future with confidence. This account provides an additional one percent than interest rate for normal savings accounts, and gives the option to name a nominee for the account. Also they are entitled to an ATM debit card which has access to over 1,000 Visa ATMs around the country 24/7 along with the facility to purchase goods and services from merchants. Further, senior citizens can obtain an online banking facility to make their fund transfers and pay utility bills comfortably being at home. Apart from the above benefits the account holders are entitled for instant loan facilities up to 90% of the account balance and a mobile banking facility. All these benefits are provided with the assurance of a state bank and 75 long years of trusted service to the senior citizens in our country.
Any Sri Lankan national over 55 years of age can open a BOC Senior Citizens account with a minimum of Rs. 500 at any of our branches spread across the country. In the case of joint account holders, both applicants should be over 55 years of age.
