Tilak Collure joins Senkadagala Finance Board

Former top civil servant Tilak Collure has joined the Board of Senkadagala Finance Plc as a Director. Collure entered the Sri Lanka Administrative Service in January 1977 and was appointed to the Sri Lanka Administrative Service (Special Grade) in January 2006. Whilst in the Government service, he has held various posts in several ministries such as the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Ports and Aviation, Ministry of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Industries, Science and Technology and Ministry of Trade and Shipping. Collure has also served as the Acting General Manager of Railways, Representative of the Ministry of Trade and Commerce Special Coordinating Unit of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and as the Assistant Director (Pricing and Wages Policy) Economic Affairs Division of the General Treasury. Between 1982 and 1993 on secondment from SLAs, Collure served as the Chairman of Ceylon Fertilizer Corporation and Ceylon Shipping Corporation and as Acting Chairman of Sri Lanka Standards Institution and the National Insurance Corporation. He retired from the Government service in July 2012 and served as Chairman of the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation from August 2012 to July 2013.He commenced his professional career as an Executive Trainee at the Commercial Bank of Ceylon in February 1975. Following the appointment, Board of Directors of Senkadagala Finance Plc comprises P. Ramanujam P. (Interim Chairman), L. Balasuriya (Managing Director/CEO), A. Balasuriya, L. Fernando, W.A.T. Fernando, S.S. Kulatunga (Independent Non-Executive Director), S.D. Bandaranayake (Executive Director) and D.T.P. Collure.
