Trade Finance Quiz and Social 2015 a resounding success

The annual Trade Finance Quiz and Social organised by the Trade Finance Association of Bankers (TFAB) was held on 7 November at The Kingsbury for the 11th time. 

The Trade Finance Association of Bankers among its objectives engages in educational activities to build knowledge in promoting consistency of trade practices, goodwill, understanding and fellowship among bankers, particularly those engaged in trade finance.  

This year 29 teams comprising bank staff working for trade finance divisions in commercial banks enthusiastically participated to battle for the Seylan Bank Challenge trophy. Keen competition was witnessed throughout the quiz competition at which Seylan Bank A team won the championship while the Nations Trust Bank A team and Hatton National Bank A team won the 1st and 2nd runner-up titles respectively.

Madhav Kalyan, CEO of J.P. Morgan Chase Bank, India was the Chief Guest and Tyrone Hannan of Deutsche Bank Colombo was the Guest of Honour at the event.
