Tritel CEO Nihal Ratnayake invited to Sinhaputhra Finance Plc Board

Nihal Nissanka Ratnayake replaced outgoing director Dr. Cuda Wijeyeratne a consultant Psychiatrist and a council member of the University of Colombo.  He is also a brother of founder Chairman Tissa Wijeyeratne, Barrister-at-law and former additional secretary of Defence and External Affairs.  

Dr. Wijeyeratne returned to Sri Lanka in 1997 after a 25 year practice in his profession in Dorset, England.  He was the chair of Sinhaputhra Finance PLC’s remuneration committee and was of invaluable counsel to the board during his 14 year tenure from November 1997 to April 2011.

Ratnayake who is currently the CEO of Tritel Services and of Tritel Technologies (Pvt) Ltd., joins Sinhaputhra bringing in a diverse experience in the fields of telecommunication, innovative technologies, marketing and human resources and a proven track record will bring fresh expertise to Sinhaputhra Finance PLC.
