Tushara gets promoted at SEC

Capital market specialist Tushara Jayaratne has been promoted as the Director of the Capital Market Education and External Relations Division of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Previously he was the Assistant Director of the External Relations and Market Development. Tushara also served the Colombo Stock Exchange for 15 years until end 2010 when he was the Manager Business Development. The new appointment follows the SEC amalgamating the External Relations and Market Development Division and Capital Market Education and Training Division into one unit, as the Capital Market Education and External Relations Division. SEC has also amalgamated the Surveillance Division with the Research arm into one unit named Surveillance and Research Division. M. Inthi Sameem will be the Director of the new division. Previously he was the Director Capital Market Education, Training and Research.
