Union Assurance takes another step forward in digital road map initiatives with Headstart

Union Assurance (UA), one of the leading Life Insurance providers in Sri Lanka, launched their Learning and Development app for the Life-sales force in a function held recently. The app was developed by Headstart Ltd. formerly known as Felidae, a company with seven years’ experience in digital learning space.

Union Assurance has a sales force of over 4,000 across the country. With the dynamism in the industry they need to be trained on new products, changing customer needs and new features of a product to cater to its customers more efficiently. However conducting training programs for the whole sales force within a short period of time is a challenge for any company. 

This key challenge was overcome by Union Assurance with a new L & D application developed by Headstart Ltd. Under the phase one, 900 selected Personal Financial Advisors (PFAs) are equipped with tablet computers along with the application. This makes the UA PFAs receive product knowledge on the fly, practice sales pitch before meeting customers apart from savings in terms of training costs and time lost conducting class room trainings. Further this could also be a tool which would help fulfil customer quarries within a short period of time easing the pressure off potential customers as well as the PFAs. 

This Application will also be used by the Union Assurance admin team to track training requirements and performance of the PFAs with management reporting. Generating reports on the usage and admin related work is streamlined to bring better results on performance monitoring.

The application also carries unique features such as ability to use with or without internet connectivity. Headstart being a company with local roots has made extra effort in making the app an enjoyable experience. The content has a local touch with ample case studies and examples for easy digestion
