Union Bank awards brand new car to ‘Mega Dinum’ Winner

Union Bank launched the ‘Mega Dinum’ promotion in November 2009 offering customers a brand new Maruti Suzuki Alto car and two years of free fuel as the super prize.

This was in addition to providing an opportunity to double the account balance every quarter and win gold coins every month. This is the first time a prize of a car was offered along with free fuel for the next two years.

The winner of the first super prize was K.E. Hussain, a customer of the Union Bank Pettah branch. In addition to the super prize Union Bank Mega Dinum has so far awarded gold coins to 30 winners from the monthly draws and 12 winners had the opportunity to double their account balance from quarterly draws held so far.

 The first super prize draw was held on November 8 at the Union Bank, Green Path Branch. The winner of the brand new car received his prize from Director CEO of Union Bank Anil Amarasuriya.

The Mega Dinum Savings Promotion campaign is a resounding success as Union Bank has been able to attract a substantial inflow of new savings and current account deposits.

The second stage of the draw which was launched October 15 this year, provides more value addition making the draw even more attractive to customers.

Mega Dinum stage 2 offers the newest Suzuki A star vehicle as the super prize along with two years of free fuel in addition to doubling the account balance quarterly and offering gold coins every month.

The eligibility criteria to enter the promotion have been made simpler, enabling more customers to take part in the draw. To be eligible for the draw customers have to simply save Rs. 10, 000 in a savings account, Rs. 5000 in a current account or US$ 100 in RFC/NRFC account for a minimum period of just one month.

The draw ‘save more and win more’ also offers multiple winning chances for the account balance and the number of months the balance has been maintained providing customers greater chance to win. Customers can avail themselves to the benefits of this offer by opening a savings, current or RFC/NRFC account at any of the Union Bank branches.
