Union Bank’s newest branch opens in Batticaloa

The newest branch of Union Bank was ceremonially opened by Ajith Nivard Cabraal, Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka on 23 March 2011 in the presence of Ajita De Zoysa Chairman of Union Bank and invitees representing Government authorities, private sector, customers, media and the local community.

The Branch is located at No. 3 Station Road, Batticaloa and offers a range of innovative financial solutions to Small and Medium Enterprises and Retail sectors delivered through superior customer service.

Union Bank created history in Sri Lanka with the highest oversubscribed IPO and the Bank expects to fuel its ambitious expansion plan for becoming a Power House in Banking in Sri Lanka.  The bank expects to open up to 10 new branches in the coming months and new branches will open in Trincomalee, Galle and Piliyandala shortly.
