Visa cardholders receive cash rebates

HSBC announced the bank had recorded the highest number of winners in a recent on-line utility bill promotion held with Visa International in Sri Lanka.

Over 4,500 HSBC cardholders enjoyed 10% cash back for the most number of online transactions, which amounted to over 1M rupees in rebates. While a further 450 customers who recorded the highest bill payment was rewarded with 1000 rupee cash back rebates.

HSBC credit cards are enabled with “ Verified by Visa”, a technology that protects cardholders from any fraudulent internet transaction, this enhanced security feature coupled with an attractive cash rebate made this promotion very successful with an overwhelming response,” stated Nadeesha Senaratne, Head of Cards and Consumer Assets, HSBC.   

The exciting promotion was open to all locally issued Visa Debit/Credit cardholders in a bid to encourage online settlement of utility, telephone, cable TV, electricity, water and other utility bills using their Visa cards.

Visa, is a global payments technology company that connects consumers, businesses, banks and governments in over 200 countries and territories, enabling them to use digital currency instead of cash and cheques.
