Cinnamon Grand Colombo has announced a special collaboration with Chef Jay Taylor, the celebrated Australian chef known for his innovative culinary techniques and passion for fresh, seasonal ingredients.
From 21 January, Chef Taylor will visit Sri Lanka for a highly anticipated partnership with the talented culinary team at Cinnamon Grand Colombo, offering an exclusive opportunity to explore the rich flavours of Australia in the heart of Colombo.
Chef Taylor, with over two decades of experience working across the globe, will bring his distinctive style of Australian cuisine to Sri Lanka. Chef Taylor’s journey in the culinary world spans renowned kitchens in Australia, Canada, Vietnam, and beyond, where his mastery of combining seasonal produce with bold, innovative techniques has earned him an international following.
To kick off this exciting collaboration, Chef Taylor will host a three-day exhibition at Cheers from 24 to 26 January, offering a curated selection of exclusive Australian-inspired dishes. The event will coincide with Australian Day Week celebrations at Cinnamon Grand Colombo, making it a perfect opportunity to experience Chef Taylor’s signature culinary flair.
Guests will indulge in an array of dishes that reflect Chef Taylor’s commitment to fresh, sustainable ingredients. Known for his ability to celebrate local produce while drawing upon global influences, Chef Taylor’s creations are expected to provide a fresh perspective on Australian cuisine, with a focus on balance, simplicity, and bold flavours.
Following the exhibition at Cheers, Chef Taylor will return to Cinnamon Grand Colombo to further elevate the dining experience at the renowned London Grill. From 1 February, he will be the curator of an Australian Meat and Wine Promotion, where he will showcase the finest cuts of Australian meats, paired with exceptional Australian wines.
This promotion will feature a special menu crafted by Chef Taylor that highlights premium meat cuts, each paired with carefully selected wines, creating a dynamic and unforgettable culinary journey. In addition to the exquisite food, guests will have the chance to engage with Chef Taylor in an interactive dining experience, where he will share his insights into the inspiration behind his dishes, his approach to Australian cuisine, and his expertise in wine pairing.
