The Galadari Colombo triumphed at the recently concluded Culinary Art Food Expo 2019 which is organised by Chefs Guild of Lanka with the support of the World Association of Chefs Societies during

the Food EXPO held at the BMICH recently.
The hotel bagged the prestigious ‘Most Outstanding Gold Award’, eight gold, nine silver and 14 bronze awards spread across different categories. The highlight of the occasion was Johash who was awarded the ‘Most Outstanding Gold Award’ for his Vodka and Arrack Cocktail with two other Gold awards for his cocktails. The other Gold medallists include Pradeepa Dissanayake, K.D.S. Kavindya, T.A.M.V. Hansamali, H.M.S.P. Gunarathne, W.M.D. Sampath Bandara and D.G.A. Shayaman.
This will no doubt mark a turning point in his career whilst bringing the hotel noteworthy honour. His achievement was greatly due to the dedication of Food and Beverage Manager Harsha Guruge, Assistant Manager Beverages Sumedha Devappriya and Manager – Training and Development Kavinda Rankothdevella who tirelessly trained and guided him during his journey to success.
