Galley 52, a nautical theme, postmodern, and contemporary eatery in the heart of Galle Fort, which serves Sri Lankan fusion, Pan Asian, Mediterranean and Indian cuisine under one roof, has been ranked as the number one restaurant on Trip Advisor in less than a year.
Galley 52, which opened in December 2018, is a restaurant that believes in serving “honest” food that is fresh, locally sourced and prepared with an added ‘Sri Lankanised’ touch to it with its condiments and ingredients. They aim to provide the diner with an eating experience with the presentation, appropriate portion sizes where each dish is meant for one to provide a wholesome experience as well as taking pride in its food styling and names of the dishes based on ships, pirates and ship routes.

Galley 52 is owned and managed by ‘The Food Cartel,’ a management team that has over 30 years of collective experience in running and managing restaurants in Dubai specialising in casual dining together with Ayura Leisure by Ayura Holdings which aims to capture the leisure sector with new upcoming villa projects, boutique hotels and restaurants.
