Continuing the theme of getting together for the festive season – post-COVID – and adhering to social and health guidelines, Harpo’s restaurants are bringing a joyful selection of menus, entertainment and retail products to enjoy at the restaurants, home catering or delivery this season.
It’s that time of year – a season when families and friends are getting together to celebrate the joy of the season which strengthens the power of togetherness.
“We are very conscious of the challenges this year has posed to many, but keeping that in mind and maintaining health guidelines, we are bringing a selection of menus and entertainment for all to enjoy with the option of catering menus for home entertainment.
“We look forward to sharing the joy of the season with all our guests who have patronised our restaurants right through the year,” Harpo’s MD Harpo Gooneratne stated.
The selection of festive menus for the season launched on 1 Dec., with traditional festive fare along with live music and all that’s synonymous with the festive season. The annual charity, now in its 16th year, will be held for 50 kids at the Community Concern Centre in Dehiwala on 8 Dec., to share the joy of the season with the less privileged.
The Bayleaf brings great Italian food, bringing true meaning to the phrase ‘there’s no phrase like an Italian Christmas’.
It is an exciting occasion to enjoy some of the best-loved Italian specials by Chef Saroj and his team. Festive goodies are available for take away orders, a holiday specials menu from 1-23 December and the Christmas specials from 24-30 December. New Year’s Eve will present a special promotion with DJ and live music.
Park Street Mews restaurant has a special festive jazz and pop musical arrangements by reputed Jazz Q performing on ‘It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas’ on 8 Dec., with a sing-along as the finale! Dilip Seneviratne will be on piano/vocals, Shobi Perera on bass/vocals, Yasmin De Silva on vocals, and Royle Andrews on the drums.
The Mews restaurant also features a Seasonal Holiday menu from 1-19 Dec., Christmas specials from 24-30 Dec., with all the traditional favourites and a New Year’s Eve program. Festive goodies for home entertainment can be placed from 1 Dec.
Curve Tapas Bar promoted a selection Tapas and Happy Hour deals from Sunday to Thursday with festive cocktails and a talented line up of live music to chill out to.
Colombo Fort Cafe at the Dutch Heritage complex offers a Euro Med Seasonal Christmas countdown menu from 7 Dec., Christmas Specials from 24-30 Dec. and a New Year’s Eve countdown dinner on 31 Dec.
Commons Coffee House – the first home grown coffee house in the city – has a festive calendar packed with seasonal fare and never disappoints with its extensive range of festive hot and cold coffees, frappes, turkey menu, kids’ activities, and delicious desserts to try with some new twists on the traditional. Also, the roti cart is ideal to roll out for holiday home entertainment.
Harpo’s Pizza & Pasta parlours – in Nugegoda, Kotte, Pepiliyana and Seeduwa – offer a special combo deal for large pizzas and a mega beverage for delivery. It also offers a fresh homemade pasta menu to enjoy dine-in, takeaway or delivery on hot wheels 486 9000 and also on Uber Eats and Pick me.
Harpo’s Marketplace retail outlet at Harpo’s Pizza & Pasta restaurant in Ethul Kotte promotes an excellent choice of three Kids, Teatime and Veggie Hampers, ideal as gifts during the season. It also showcases an excellent range of Harpo’s fresh pastas, sauces, infused oils, pickle and chutneys, along with a choice of cookie and cake mixes, range of spices, confectionary, new gelato range and few unique lifestyle products of cane crafts. There are special food packs that can be ordered from a mix of pasta, lasagne and ravioli to enjoy at home.
