Hilton Colombo hosts Oktoberfest, Hilton Colombo Residences brings Thai Food Feast to table

Hilton properties in Colombo, recently announced two exciting culinary events in October 2024, celebrating Bavarian and Thai cuisine. Guests are invited to partake in these vibrant celebrations, each offering a unique cultural and culinary experience.

Hilton Colombo Oktoberfest 

Hilton Colombo brings back its highly anticipated annual Oktoberfest, from 24 October to 2 November. 

A beloved tradition for locals and visitors alike, Oktoberfest promises an authentic Bavarian experience right in the heart of Colombo. Guests can enjoy a lavish buffet featuring freshly baked Pretzels, Munich Supper Plate, German Bread Loaves, Thuringian Pork Sausage, Brew-battered Fried Fish with Pickled Mayonnaise, Baked Farmers’ Meat Loaf with German Mustard, traditional Swabian Pasta, and Crumbed Mini Pork Schnitzel.

The festive atmosphere will be enhanced by the lively tunes of the Oompah Band and a spirited brew-drinking competition, ensuring an unforgettable night of celebration.

The Oktoberfest celebration will take place at the Sports Centre Arena from 7 p.m. to midnight on Sundays through Thursdays and 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Thai Food Feast at Hilton Colombo Residences 

At the same time, Hilton Colombo Residences invites guests on a Thai culinary journey with the Thai Food Feast, held from 7 to 20 October. 

This exclusive event will be led by celebrated chefs Netsarin Pimtes and Aekkapon Congchum (Mister Egg) from DoubleTree by Hilton Phuket Banthai Resort, who will showcase their expertise in authentic Thai cuisine. Menu highlights include Tom Yum Goong Soup, Pad Thai Goong, Mango Salad with Shrimp, Thai Red Prawn Curry, and Steamed Seabass Fish Fillet.

Chef Netsarin Pimtes, a gold award winner at the Andaman Tourism Networking 2023, will present her acclaimed dishes, while Chef Aekkapon Congchum, recognised for his talents at the Thailand F&B Masters Culinary Hotel Round 2022, will add his signature flavours to the feast. The event also offers a free flow of house-special cocktails and mocktails to complement the vibrant dishes.
