  • A range of exciting offers this January

Mövenpick Hotel Colombo opened its doors in January 2017, by introducing a touch of attitude and altitude to this city. The first Swiss hospitality chain in town has given this city a theatrical dining experience and one of the highest rooftop bars with the finest panoramic views.

An upscale, modern hospitality company that is passionate about ‘making moments’, firm with Swiss roots and a restaurant and hospitality heritage that dates back to the 1940’s, this magnificent hotel, now part of AccorHotels is turning three on 7 January.

Celebrate the journey as the hotel invites all to participate in its ‘Picture Scavenger Hunt,’ taking place on Saturday, 11 January. Teams of two will be required to register and will be given 21 questions to be completed within a span of two hours, each answer documented on their Instagram or Facebook page. The Scavenger Hunt will take place within the hotel premises and in and around the hotel area. Participants can find most clues and answers via the hotel’s website.

As part of its 10-year-anniversary of flying to Sri Lanka, Etihad Airways has joined the celebrations as the official Airline partner for this event. The winning duo will receive two return air tickets to Abu Dhabi and a three day stay at Hotel Novotel, Abu Dhabi Gate, also part of AccorHotels.

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, first launched flights to Colombo in 2004, and after a brief pause resumed flights on January 1 2010, connecting Sri Lankan travellers to Etihad’s global network ever since. The airline was recently recognised as the ‘World’s Leading Airline 2019’ sweeping four awards at the World Travel Awards 2019.

That’s not all. Guests can also find something exciting happening at all the restaurants and rooftop bar. Head over to the lobby lounge after 3 p.m. and purchase any two items and receive the third item free from a fresh bakery basket selection. Stop by the Robata Grill and Lounge for an ‘Unassumingly Asian’ experience and order three or more items from the a la carte menu and receive the third dish on the house. Guests can also enjoy a teppanyaki experience by booking a table for 3 adults or more and receive a round of drinks on the house until 31 January.

Wondering what’s on at AYU? Three’s a crowd this January, so the third person dines free. This offer is valid for a maximum of six adults during the dinner buffet and the Sunday lunch buffet. AYU has also thrown in something special for children aged three and they will be entitled to any main meal from the ‘Power Bites Kids Menu’ at AYU until the end of January.

How does an Extended Happy Hour sound? It’s going be three Happy Hours from Sunday – Thursday at the Vistas Rooftop Bar from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. where guests will receive a 50% off on selected beverages. Offering stunning views of the city and Indian Ocean, Vistas is the ideal place to chill out after work or with your friends so enjoy this fabulous offer until 31 January.

Fancy staying at the Mövenpick Hotel Colombo? Book a triple room and the third person stays free inclusive of the famous breakfast buffet! The hotel is even offering guests a late check out until 3 p.m., an additional three hours in the month of January. This offer can be booked via the hotel’s reservation team.
