With the Sinhala and Tamil New Year just around the corner, KFC invites you to embrace this festive season in style. With Cargills bringing a popular global dining experience to the country, KFC Sri Lanka has built a loyal customer base for fusing international flavours with well-loved local recipes. Even as a franchise that is loved across the world, KFC aims to stay true to the strong Sri Lankan Avurudu heritage and traditions.
An exciting array of Avurudu Family Combos filled to the brim with crispy chicken, burgers, rice and titbits will be on offer to give you the perfect treat for the perfect Avurudu celebration.
Mixing cultural flair with social media, KFC invites fans to share their Avurudu experience through a thrilling social media campaign. Using the famed KFC Chicken Bucket as the centrepiece, fans are encouraged to create their own fun dance to the tune of the popular Raban Pada rhythm to be posted on social media. Moreover, in the spirit of Avurudu, KFC will be hosting a Raban Pada themed festival at the Cargills Square Dematagoda and Gampaha outlets featuring many giveaways for those who take part.
To celebrate the festivities and fanfare – in keeping with all the necessary health and safety protocols - a selected number of KFC outlets will be buzzing with fun and friendly competition or Avurudu Kreeda, including Placing the Eye on the Elephant, Balloon Blast and Banis Kema. As families and friends gather at KFC this Avurudu season, there will be no doubt that where there is a KFC, there is happiness, excitement and laughter as well.
