The first wine from the Beaujolais region of Burgundy which is released on the third Thursday of November traditionally marks the official start of Beaujolais Nouveau. Mount Lavinia Hotel in collaboration with the Embassy of France in Sri Lanka and the Alliance Francaise de Kotte are proud to launch it in Sri Lanka on 15 November 2012, for the third consecutive year.
“MLH loves to make people aware of traditions that make sense across the world and when French food marries a fun wine, it certainly needs to be celebrated. It is a simple and fun wine, and is worth a taste as Chef Fabrice Boulahouache from France will create a delectable spread, and the promotion will be on from 15 to 18 November at the Governor’s Restaurant,” stated Anura Dewapura, General Manager, Mount Lavinia Hotel.
Chef Fabrice Boulahouache is the executive chef at Boulahouache Group Scandale restaurant in Krakow. His culinary journey started at the age of nine when he won the competition for juniors’ confectionery. Chef Boulahouache has had the opportunity to cook for stars throughout the world, working in restaurants in Saint-Tropez, Cannes and Paris.
So let 15 November be a date to celebrate fine French cuisine, culture and premium wine and may the spirit of celebration fill your heart, at 8 p.m. at the Mount Lavinia Hotel. The dinner is priced at Rs. 3,200 nett inclusive of a complimentary glass of Beaujolais for dinner with entertainment provided by the French Connection.
