Bridgetine Drive, the first-ever motor rally organised by the Past Pupils Association of St. Bridget’s Convent, gets on the road on 26 May 2012. It is truly a fun event where Bridgetines and friends will try their skills at rally driving.

The cars will be flagged off from Malalasekera Mawatha, opposite the CR&FC grounds at 8:30 a.m. After two hours of challenging fun driving around Colombo, following clues given and clocking in at the check points, the participants will wind up at the St. Bridget’s Convent Primary School gates at Maitland Crescent.

The rules, route and questions to be answered will be made available to participants at the time of registration, from 8 a.m. till 10 a.m. Each car can have a maximum of five passengers, of whom at least one should be a Bridgetine, past or present. There are surprises with every ticket and exciting prizes to be won.

Tickets for the Bridgetine Drive cost Rs. 1,000 for adults and Rs. 500 for children under 18 and can be purchased on 10, 11 and 12 May between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. at the PPA Secretariat at St. Bridget’s Convent. Only a limited number of cars can be registered so please obtain your rally ticket early. Classy green T-shirts with an embroidered logo are also available at Rs. 750 for adults and Rs. 600 for kids.

The rally will be followed by a Mini Fair at the primary school premises. A variety of food stalls will be available to suit your palate, along with an interesting array of stalls displaying clothing, jewellery, linen, cosmetics, footwear, books, collectibles and much more, accompanied by DJ music.  Games for the kids are also on offer. Tickets to the Mini Fair can be purchased at the PPA Secretariat or at the gate. Mini Fair tickets are free to rally participants.

The object of this fun-filled event is to raise funds to support the development activities of the Collegiate and Primary schools as well as for CSR projects of the association.
