The Chinese bid adieu to the Year of the Dragon and welcomed the Year of the Snake. This New Year is celebrated in a grand way each year and across the world. According to Chinese astrology, Chinese New Year starts with the new moon on the first day of the New Year and ends on the full moon 15 days later.
Within China, regional customs and traditions concerning the celebration of the Chinese New Year vary widely. Often, the evening preceding Chinese New Year’s Day is an occasion for Chinese families to gather for the annual reunion dinner.
To celebrate this occasion the Emperor’s Wok Chinese Master Chef Eric has created a special set menu including some exotic dishes from 10 to 17 February. Dishes such as jelly fish with black pepper, braised pumpkin with seafood soup, and prawn with chilli XO sauce will be included in this set menu.
Emperor’s Wok, famous for its authenticity, is one of the best Chinese restaurants in Colombo. The dim sum all you can eat is “a value for money” offer where guests can enjoy various kinds of steamed, fried or braised dim sum. This happens every Saturday, Sunday and Poya days.
