Sharing moments of happiness and optimism has always been at the heart of the Coca-Cola Company, and now the global campaign – the ‘Say it with Coke’ campaign is bringing a new dimension of fun and expression to Sri Lanka.
Through this initiative, Coca-Cola in Sri Lanka is encouraging people across the island to unbottle their sentiments and express themselves. In just four days after the digital launch of the campaign, it reached 164,000 people via Twitter.
Commenting on this iconic campaign, Kapila Welmillage, Country Manager- Coca-Cola Sri Lanka Beverages stated, “Through the Say It with Coke Campaign, consumers can create their own special moments and memories with Coca-Cola. We localised this campaign for Sri Lanka by using popular expressions such as ‘Cool Wenna’ and ‘Amba Yaaluwa’, to give youth the chance to express themselves in a fun and culturally relevant way. We are connecting with local youth by inviting them to submit their own expressions, which can be viewed on screens across the island. We hope that consumers enjoy this campaign and express themselves with Coca-Cola.”
Coca-Cola is engaging with millions of youth across Sri Lanka through ‘Say it with Coke’, which is a fully integrated TV, radio, press, digital, mobile and media campaign. On the ground, a series of LED screens in strategic locations are sharing the ‘Say it with Coke’ message and showcasing different expressions from the campaign. The company will also be reaching out through various television dramas, radio shows and social media activations to inspire them to be a part of this ground-breaking campaign.”
