‘Culinary Arts Exhibition’ was celebrated on 24th, 25th and 26th of July at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Conference Centre. Among the numerous participants at this Exhibition, the Crysbro Chicken stall was the most noteworthy, attracting a large number of attendees. Designed in the form of a modern and spacious kitchen, this stall was based on the theme ‘43 Recipes with Crysbro Chicken’.

17-6A notable feature of this event was that Farms Pride Ltd, who were celebrating their 43rd anniversary, had designed a special booklet which contained 43 mouthwatering recipes for cooking the delicious Crysbro Chicken. What made this stall especially interesting was the presence of an expert chef, who prepared all 43 recipes ‘live’, in addition to a number of celebrities, including teledrama and cinema actors and actresses, beauty queens and singers, who interacted with the audience, while savouring Crysbro chicken.

Attendees had the opportunity to freely mingle and pose for photographs with ‘Api Nodhenna’ and ‘Super Six’ stars 17-7such as Suneth and Chitrananda, while some were able to enjoy themselves in a song and dance routine with new age singer Suneth Dayananda.

Having commenced operations way back in 1972, Farms Pride markets its chicken under the theme ‘Fresh upcountry chicken for the whole nation’. Crysbro Chicken, which is manufactured under the most hygienic and technically advanced conditions, has achieved the ISO 9001/2000 certification, in addition to being the only chicken producer to have obtained the ISO 14001 certification for compliance with the best environment-friendly practices.

As a wholly Sri Lankan owned establishment, Crysbro has brought pride to the nation by assisting the local agricultural industry for over four decades, while ensuring the livelihood of thousands of farmers in many parts of the country. The Crysbro name has been growing from strength to strength, through the synergistic association of companies such as Farms Pride Ltd., Golden Grains Ltd. and Wayamba Development Ltd.
