Chef Saroj, true to his reputation, is presenting specials with Antipasti and homemade fresh pasta with an amazing range of sauces.  Hilton Colombo Residences announces Easter Sunday promotions

Hilton Colombo Residences announces its celebrations for Easter Sunday on 20 April 2014. An exquisite buffet brunch will be held by the poolside restaurant, Verandah Bistro; the restaurant has been revamped with new interior, and boasts of both indoor and alfresco dining options. The kids’ activities during the celebration would include an Easter egg hunt, face painting, a bouncing castle and access to the children’s play area; as there are limited slots for the hunt, guests are requested to make prior bookings for the egg hunt. The buffet brunch will cater to both children and parents with an exquisite offering of appetisers, soup station, carver’s station, hot buffet, grills, Mediterranean corner, Delicacies such as cured salmon, capers and horseradish, fresh oyster bar with condiments, boiled prawn pyramid, tuna salmon sashimi with condiments, chorizo stuffed broiled button mushrooms and pork bacon cheddar devilled eggs will be on the ‘appetizer’ section. Diners will be treated to dishes such as baked garlic parmesan chicken, shepherd’s pie and spinach and ricotta quiche; on the carver’s table slow roasted turkey roulade and baked leg of ham with brown sugar mustard is not to be missed. Fresh on the grill will be favourites such as fresh mussels cooked in white wine, lamb shoulder chops, lagoon prawns, pesto chicken, and beef steak. The Indian corner will offer garlic and butter naan, tandoori chicken and fish tikka. The Mediterranean corner will consist of chicken shawarma, a selection of pastas, fusili, spaghetti, ravioli and risotto that will be made to order. Tempered suwandal rice, Negombo lagoon crab curry, black chicken curry, green bean and cashew curry and tempered manioc will be offered in the Sri Lankan section. The buffet will be priced at Rs. 3,500 nett per person; children between the ages of six and 12 will dine for half the rate and children below six years dine for free.
