Supporting the internationally recognised pageant, the Siyatha Lux Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2012, Sri Lanka’s premier sausage brand, Elephant House Sausages, was the official food provider at the recently concluded event. Sabrina Herft was adjudged the winner and will represent Sri Lanka at the Miss Universe pageant to be held in December this year.

“This year we came forward as official food partner for Siyatha Lux Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2012 in order to support the nation’s search for a young woman who could stand for all that is Sri Lankan and represent the country on an international platform,” said Keells Food Products Head of Marketing and John Keells Group Asst. Vice President Samari Ihalagedara. “Our campaign theme is ‘Who would you share your secret with?’ highlighting the sharing of the secret EH recipe with those who are special to you. In this regard, we wanted to encourage the contestants to share the secret behind their confidence, beauty, passion and dedication to be a winner.”

Elephant House Sausages hosted the final 12 contestants of the pageant to a BBQ night at Chaaya Blu, Trincomalee, where the young beauties got a chance to indulge in the exciting range of succulent Elephant House Sausages such as EH Bacon Whopper, EH Spicy Pork, EH Spicy Sizzle, EH Pork Sensation and EH Chicken Bratwurst.

“All the girls had a wonderful time at the BBQ party that was graciously hosted on our behalf by Elephant House Sausages,” said Herft. “The taste of Elephant House Sausages is something that I remember from my childhood and still crave for if I am ever away from home. I am thankful for the support and encouragement that they gave the competition and all us contestants.”

Furthermore, a sampling of Elephant House Sausages at the Grand Finale held at Hilton Colombo gave guests too an opportunity to savour the tantalising, juicy range of sausages and Elephant House Sauces. Elephant House Sausages have been a distinctively Sri Lankan brand since its launch in 1966, providing consumers with premium products that are on par with international standards.
