Emperor’s Wok celebrates Chinese New Year

The spring festival or Chinese New Year is celebrated in China on the 23rd day of the 12th lunar month of the Chinese calendar. This colourful festival lasts 23 days and ends on the 15th day of the first lunar month in the following year in the Chinese calendar. Hilton Colombo’s authentic Chinese restaurant, the Emperor’s Wok will celebrate Chinese New Year by offering diners a unique dining experience where some of the Chinese traditions could be experienced from 7 to 31 January during lunch and dinner. The famous Wasabi prawns, Wok fried pork belly with fresh chilli, braised eggplant with Szechuan sauce are just to name a few of the dishes that will be available. There will be Angpao for kids who dine in and every guest will receive fortune cookies with surprise gift vouchers. Angpao is a red envelope or a red packet containing money that the Chinese community gives each other for good luck on special occasions. Emperor’s Wok famous for its authenticity specialises in Dim Sum where guests can enjoy various kinds of steamed, fried or braised dim sum.
