Glorious crabs at the Curry Leaf

Sri Lanka is well known for having the best of seafood and fresh crabs are a must to try if you are a visitor to the country. The Hilton Colombo’s authentic Sri Lankan and seafood restaurant the Curry Leaf; famous for its home-made style Sri Lankan curries will treat their diners to an all-you-can-eat crab promotion from 1 to 14 June.



A fresh seafood display prepared to guest preferences is a daily feature in the restaurant. In addition to the regular buffet the team at the hotel will prepare crab favourites such as crab shells filled with curried crab meat, crab meat kottu, crab meat Chinese rolls, chef’s special crab meat fried noodles and the list is endless with mildly spiced curries, gothamba rotis, hoppers, string hoppers and more.

Crab meat is very low in fat, ranging from one to one and a half grams of fat per crab. A crab contains less than half of a gram of saturated fat when steamed. Crab meat is also free of carbohydrates, but it does contain plenty of protein depending on the type.

The Curry Leaf Garden restaurant overlooks the garden splendour and waterscape beauty, is a place to enjoy good food with good company and an ideal restaurant for the visiting or resident expatriates who either yearn for local food or want to learn how to enjoy it.
