Gourmet dining by renowned culinary experts at Heritance Kandalama

Michelin Star Chef Roland Debuyst is a renowned chef visiting Sri Lanka on a mission to train and mentor the next Bocuse d’ Or Champion from Sri Lanka.
During his visit an enjoyable dining experience is on offer for HSBC Credit Card customers, to witness the preparation of a gastronomical ‘five course’ meal prepared in collaboration with the national representative Chef Augustus Lowe and his team at Heritance Kandalama on 23 May.
National representative for Bocuse d’Or to be held this year in Shanghai, Chef Augustus Lowe is the Chef de Cuisine at Heritance Kandalama with 23 years of experience in the culinary arena. His trainer and mentor Michelin Star Chef Roland Debuyst, counts over 25 years of experience in fine dining cuisine and operates three fine dining restaurants in Belgium. He is also credited as the only Belgium Chef to win a Silver award at the word acclaimed Bocuse d’Or culinary world championships.
Diners will be presented with an opportunity to savour the epicurean delicacies prepared to perfection. HSBC credit cardholders can appease their taste buds with a tantalizing offer that entitles them to a special 20% saving on dinner for two off the marked price of rupees 10,000.

The five course menu will consist of the following:
Entrée – roulade of salmon with lobster, sea scallops in red pepper agar, miniature crab croquette on glazed green leeks, lobster cream sauce, and curried crab espuma
Soup – duck consommé accompanied with honey smoked glaze duck carpaccio
Sorbet – medori hinted sour sop sorbet topped with lemon sugar crystals
Foundation – preparation of wild berry and hazelnut crusted grilled lamb rack, braised lamb shoulder in baked apple, warm eggplant mousse, beetroot and truffle dome, port jus Sweet Hamper – sweet basil pana cotta, pistachio lemon truffle, tomato crumble, tamarillo marmite and coffee with petit fours
