The international leader in German hardware technology, Häfele recently hosted a live cooking program in line with the upcoming Ramazan festivities at the state-of-the-art design centre located in Nandana Gardens, Colombo 04. While 16 ladies took part for the Ramazan Ifthar cooking and tasting session, the show was conducted by Chef Nimnaz Ansar.
A lead business consultant by profession with a degree in Computing, Chef Nimnaz is well known for her signature speciality lava cakes and brownies available at exclusive outlets, which was started as a hobby followed by her passion and love for cooking and baking.
At Häfele, Chef Nimnaz showcased her culinary skills in a few delicious items which can be made for Ifthar within a short span of time yet differently by presenting how to make chicken konjee, chicken satay, beef rolls baked, fish puff and chicken wings in a live kitchen environment at the design centre.
“I am amazed at the technological advancement of Häfele Appliances and how it made cooking simply fun,” said Chef Nimnaz who had a firsthand experience of the Häfele kitchen during her show surrounded by an enthusiastic audience.
“Taking part at the Häfele live cooking program was worth it as we learnt a lot not just about cooking but also about how to make cooking safe and easy with technology.” “The experience we received at Häfele Design Centre was more than we expected getting exposed to internationally acclaimed home solutions under one roof right in Sri Lanka,” expressed another participant. “Though the first impression of anyone who walks in to the design centre is a mixed feeling of expensive European products, after seeing the cooking while actually having also tasting the food, we realised that Häfele products are actually made to suit the local market with stylish and elegant designs yet are very affordable.”
