Hilton Colombo Chefs win first-ever Bronze for Sri Lanka at Asian Cooking Contest

Hilton Colombo’s Chef Buddika Samarasekara and Apprentice Chef Rashen John were placed third, winning a bronze medal at the 15th Bocuse d’Or Asian Competition held in Shanghai for the biennial world chef championship - the Bocuse d’Or (the Concours mondial de la cuisine, World Cooking Contest). This is the first time Sri Lanka has been represented at a competition of this calibre.

Hilton Colombo’s chefs have now secured a place amongst the four candidates from Asia that would compete in the finals to be held in Lyon, France January 2013.
