December saw the launch of the newly re-opened Hotel Jen Tanglin Singapore’s two new dining outlets situated in the freshly refurbished lobby level.

J65, the all-day dining restaurant, has a South-East Asian market feel, while the artisan inspired Jen’s Kitchen On-the-Go will offer locally roasted coffee and snacks, 24 hours a day.

With a name inspired by the Singapore international dialling code, the new-look all day dining restaurant will open to diners for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Authentic South-East Asian cuisine in abundant portions will be showcased in the vibrant restaurant with a modern market look and feel. Prices begin from $ 29.00 nett for lunch and $ 58.00 nett for dinner.

Weekday lunch is an eclectic mix of deli style food ideal for business lunches. A strong focus on plant and soil based dishes are amongst the buffet spread, for those looking to lighter and healthier options. Expect a variety of salads such as roast pumpkin and beetroot, kale with quinoa and banana flower salad, grilled veg sandwiches, quiches, soups and brown rice sushi. For those craving a more substantial lunch, a variety of hot dishes, six versions of laksa, generously portioned Hong Kong BBQ are also served up. 

Hooked! – Seafood Dinner is on from Thursday to Saturday; the daily South East Asian selection will be enhanced with fresh Fin de Claire oysters, sushi and sashimi, tiger prawns, Boston lobster and Sri Lankan crab. Hot dishes include soup baked cumin red mullet and lobster bisque, poached sweet clams and grilled sea bass are among the other seafood treats. 

Sunday Brunch is the highlight of the week, with free flow Champagne, wine, beer and cocktails, accompanied with a live DJ performance jazzing up the weekend. Unlimited platefuls of the freshest seafood including Oysters, a whole tuna sashimi, and hand carved meat cuts, five types of smoked salmon, premium Iberico ham, and the Chef’s Special – Sunday Roasts. 

The introduction of NETT pricing means no unpleasant surprises on the final bill. For diners celebrating a birthday, J65 will provide a complimentary three-tier tower of delicious assorted cupcakes served with the signature birthday Dirty Milkshake.

Jen’s Kitchen On-the-Go 

Open 24 hours a day, and situated just off the chic new hotel lobby area, Jen’s Kitchen On-the-Go is a perfect spot to relax, meet friends or conduct an informal business meeting over a delicious locally roasted coffee. As with the entire hotel, the café benefits from super fast, free WiFi. As entrepreneurship is actively encouraged at Hotel Jen Tanglin, the café boasts a delicious selection of artisan roasted coffee brewed from scratch by baristas from local coffee connoisseurs, Nomad the Gallant – as well as curated teas. 

With a keen eye for selecting and roasting the finest coffee beans, Nomad the Gallant have developed a reputation and local following for creating aromatic specialty coffee blends. The buzzy café also specially imports unique masala teas, such as the Chai Masala blend using fresh spices that are cracked open, and hand-blended with tea and honey. 

Hotel Jen Tanglin are passionate in their support of small and local businesses – the meticulously handcrafted artisan aprons worn by the F&B team members is testament to this. The hand-loomed, naturally dyed aprons were conceptualised by local designer FIN and commissioned specially by Hotel Jen Tanglin to promote home-grown talent and skill. 

The buzzy café incorporates a funky bicycle as part of the ingenious, contemporary new design. Tokyo bicycles are integral to the design and can be found as part of the new décor, as well as free for guests use and discover the City.
