Does the word “Chaat” get your mouth watering and you can’t wait to taste crunchy paapri dipped in curd and sweet tamarind chutney? Then head to the Chaat buffet at Latitude, Taj Samudra. The festival will take you on a memorable trip down the back lanes of Old Delhi through the variety of chaats and other street food on offer.
And for those who are not familiar with the wonderful flavours of Indian Chaat this is an opportunity to surprise your taste buds with the addictive flavours of Chaat! Indian Chaat is incredibly flavorful; it is tangy and spicy and sometimes sweet too. The texture differs from one to another; most chaat are crunchy while some soft and moist.
Master Chefs are flown in from Delhi to ensure the experience is authentic. “The chaats served here at the Taj Samudra are prepared under hygienic conditions and are tasty too” explains Executive Chef Krawage.
On the buffet will be Dahi Balle- one of the most delectable and liked chaat in North India, is made of fried lentil balls served with yougurt and some chutneys, Bhelpuri - a snack with almost iconic status in Western India, bhelpuri is low-fat, nutritious and delicious, Papadi Chaat - little crisp round spiced Indian crackers, layered with potatoes, chutneys, chaat masala, yogurt, Pani puri - Crisp semolina puris filled with sprouts and chilled mint flavoured water, and much more.
For those with a sweet tooth, you can dig into kulfis, gulab jamun, hot jalebis and the like. Need I describe their taste? Just imagining them in all their sweet glory is enough to want to try them.
