Harpo’s Cafes & Restaurants will be conducting ‘Food Revolution Day’ free cookery workshops on 19 May for the fourth consecutive year at each of its restaurants with the main focus on making cooking fun and also educating kids on healthy food.
It will be held at The Bayleaf, Park Street Mews Restaurant, Commons Coffee House, Colombo Fort Café and Harpo’s Pizza & Pasta in Nugegoda and Mt. Lavinia. Kids aged six to 15 can join the free cookery workshop by registering at any one of these restaurants by 15 May and have fun making the recipes that each restaurant will conduct with the chef in attendance to assist.
“Our kids are the future and along with all other subjects, educating children on healthy food options and also getting them involved at a young age to enjoy cooking, which is a life skill, is important. This will empower them to make healthy, food choices, for life. We identify with a global workshop with the celebrity chef, Jamie Oliver’s ‘Food Revolution Day’,” said Harpo’s Cafes & Restaurants MD Harpo Gooneratne.
