Jetwing Lighthouse Chef Shrimal triumphs at World Culinary Olympics

Chef Shrimal Kulatunge of Jetwing Lighthouse showcased his tremendous talents at the 2012 IKA World Culinary Olympics, being a part of Sri Lanka’s team. The team, Chef Shrimal and Chef Dimuthu won three Gold medals each, and six Gold medals overall under the following categories:

1. Best Display (Gold) – two varieties of gateaux, four varieties of desserts (two hot and two cold), petit fours – five varieties and six from each (30 pieces), two show pieces – chocolate, marzipan and parchment.

2. Best Live Cooking (Gold) – two chocolate gateaux, four hot desserts and four cold desserts, three varieties of petit fours with eight pieces each (24 pieces).

3. Best Overall Pastry Team (Gold) – 2012 IKA Olympic National Pastry Team Winner.
