The softness along with the flavour is delicious as the rare cooked sliced beef literally melts in the mouth and is the best choice hands down.

This is essentially a meat sashimi, as the beef is raw. Known for being a popular choice amongst Asian cuisine this rare cooked meat dish offers a difference in flavour to the usual Japanese dishes served in the Colombo. Tataki is the method of searing meat briefly over a hot flame, cooling it down immediately and marinating it in vinegar before cutting it into thin slices and seasoning it with ginger. The generous portion served at Cinnamon Lakeside’s Sushi Bar serves at least two people.

The signature dish Gyu Niku Tataki Don at Sushi Bar is very impressive and diners have the option of observing the part of the preparation over the bar while being treated to a view of the serene Beira Lake. The Sushi Bar also offers an array of both authentic and modern sushi rolls where the delicate flavours of rice, vegetables and fish that are enhanced with healthy soya sauce, ginger and wasabi. It also serves classic hot dishes and desserts, noodles and Yaki Udon whilst the green tea ice cream and ginger ice cream are favourites amongst diners.
