The Kingsbury ventured to celebrate the virtues of motherhood by dedicating 11 May especially to mothers, by inviting guests to bring their mothers to the Sunday Caviar & Oyster Brunch at the Harbour Court. It was indeed the best culinary experience to treat someone special. The occasion was very much a success as all the restaurants were full with enthusiastic, happy guests. In addition to The Harbour Court, the Gourmet Station and The Ocean were occupied in order to entertain the Mothers’ Day special guests.   The buffet was a spectacular spread of culinary delights, ranging from Asian, American, European, Chinese and Japanese delicacies all under one roof! In addition to popular delicacies such as Oysters, Caviar and Foie Gras, delicious portions of salads, soups, meat and sweets too were served, in the elaborate Kingsbury style of taste and grandeur. Each mother who walked in was presented with a gift pack, courtesy Amanté, along with a flower from Supreme Flora. The event took off with vigour as guests began tapping their feet to popular tunes sung by the mother-daughter duo of Kanthie and Judy De Silva. They got the crowd not only tapping feet, but also moving and humming to the rhythms of the day. While mothers, both young and old were being entertained, the kids were kept occupied by the many activities organised around the vicinity. They were given free reign over the play area, along with face painting and fun activities. The hotel even allowed them the use of the pool, so that the mothers could have a day of complete rejuvenation, free from worries. The day concluded on a high note; with one special mom winning a holiday for her entire family! The holiday included a weekend stay at the hotel with Spa treatment and salon makeover for the special lady. The Kingsbury has been popular for its customised hospitality services since its inception. With events of this nature, the hotel not only ventures to capture the hearts of its discerning guests, but to also set the standards high in the local hospitality industry.
