Taj Samudra starts seasonal festivities with traditional Christmas cake mixing

With its origins in Europe centuries ago, the traditional Christmas cake is today a festive food enjoyed the world over. The delicious cake that melts in the mouth instantly is clearly the perfect icing for Christmas celebrations. With varied elements the traditional Christmas cake requires skill in the mixture of the choicest ingredients coupled with creative ability – an art Taj Samudra chefs have mastered over the years. Area Director and General Manager Rohit Khosla together with the Taj team heralded in the festive season this year by inviting diplomats, corporate guests and leading personalities for the traditional Christmas cake mixing ceremony which was held on 15 October at the On Golden Pond of Taj Samudra, Colombo. Executive Chef Dhaithya Krawage ensured that his team put up an extraordinary show – from a fabulously decorative display of the cake mixing items to the most scrumptious of finger food to be served. This was a great evening and start of a fabulous festive season at the Taj Samudra, Colombo.
