Chef Ziyads presents the ‘Kebab Trail’ – a wonderful All-You-Can-Eat affair from Saturday 24 May to Monday 2 June. This time, they’ve changed things around to truly let you savour the best of this fine Indian cuisine. Seven scrumptious kebabs served in succession make up your Kebab Trail. The kebabs, matched with perfect homemade chutneysare followed by dum biryani and north Indian dessert that complete the feast – you’ll be super gratified by the time meal is over!
North India with its many influences of culture, unique ingredients harvested in the region and traditional preparation methods leaves much to be explored in every aspect. Kebabs gained deep prominence in the kitchens of the palaces of India. History and folklore combine in this journey of cuisine evolution with such elements as melt in your mouth kebabs created to please the palate of a toothless Nawab and an imaginative range of vegetarian kebabs for rulers who favoured their taste.
At the Kebab Trail, they traverse the history of kebabs and select for you the very finest. Hailing from Hyderabadh the Boti Kebab of tender boneless muttonis popular for the flavor it exudes from an intense marination and is perfect with spice egg dip. The Murgh Malai Kebab of chicken is distinct for the blending of cheese, herb and spices in its recipe to give a delightfully creamy taste. Vegetarians will love the smoky flavor of the Paneer Sofiyani Tikka and the Pudina Dal Kebab of chickpeas with the lingering taste of mint. The AchariMachchiTikkaof fish marinated in pickled spices and the Tandoori Jhinga of succulent grilled jumbo prawns comemost recommended by Ziyad for seafood lovers.
A selection of biryani cooked in deeply aromatic spices will follow to give you a true Indian feast. Creamy Kulfi or crunchy carrot halwa are for the sweet toothed.
