Chef Chengwei Wang’s is a name that attracts followers. His main specialty dish is the Peking duck, a famous dish from Beijing that has been prepared since the imperial era, prized for its thin, crisp skin, the meat often slicked in front of the diners by the chef.
Wang’s hometown in Beijing is known for preparing this dish, as if it were a staple. With a wealth of experience, Wang brings to the table the best of Sichuan cuisine, with authentic spices and ingredients that are only sourced from China.
Golden Dragon is a signature Cantonese and Sichuan cuisine restaurant at Taj Samudra, has been known for its most-authentic dining experience and is a favourite amongst gourmands. Exotic dim sum which comes in spinach and carrot, prawn hargao, lobster and scallops and chicken and coriander are quite popular at the restaurant.

The innovatively-crafted menu, featuring popular dishes from Hong Kong, Shandong and Beijing, ranging from the ever-popular dim-sums and colourful appetizers to striking main course and delectable desserts, serves up some of the finest traditional Cantonese and Sichuan recipes to satisfy the most discerning palate.

The restaurant also serves up unique seafood delicacies; the menu at Golden Dragon has a breath-taking spread of varied ingredients and an even greater variety of flavours and tastes. Exotic starters include beans and pine nut with chilli and sesame, baby squid black pepper and rock salt, steamed lagoon prawns while Chef’s specials are spicy soup with lobster and chicken or thick crab meat with onion. Diners can choose from wok fried lobsters to jumbo prawns in Sichuan spicy chilli sauce to name a few.
Swathed in vibrant hues of resplendent, regal gold and warm, welcoming blue, the Dragon promises an incomparable dining experience.
