Is the bane of your workday deciding what to eat for lunch? Or making plans to meet up with friends over a meal? Maybe it’s simply getting out of office at lunch hour only to get stuck in the Colombo heat and traffic? Trekurious now has a solution for all these woes!

Trekurious is well known for curating high-end dining experiences; from wine pairing dinners, to Michelin-starred dinners, to chef’s table experiences but now the team is now ready to announce two new products, Boxed and Plated, which bring sophistication and curation to everyday meals.

The Plated experience is structured to make your decisions as stress-free as possible – you receive an email with a menu and a link to the website page (or just log on to the website), you choose your vegetarian/non vegetarian preferences and checkout. All you have to do the next day is go over to the restaurant of your choice and have a nice time.BUP_DFT_DFT-13-5

However, Trekurious has also given much thought to Colombo traffic. Going out of the office can be such a hassle sometimes. People spend more time on the road than actually at the restaurant eating. So, trying exotic and interesting dishes at equally unique and interesting spots may seem out of reach and a 100 rupee bath packet which is two minutes away from office is what you are stuck with.

That’s where Boxed comes in. You have a similar stress free decision structure – you receive a menu on an e-mail/log onto the website, choose your preference, and checkout. The only difference is that Trekurious will deliver your lovely curated meal to you at lunch hour.

Plated and Boxed are made for everyone simply daunted by the task of having to make mundane decisions day in and day out – like what to wear every morning (and consequently getting late to work), and what to have for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Sure, there are some great blogs and reviews to help you make these choices, but you still have to read them and choose a restaurant and meal.

Let’s face it- these decisions are tedious and irksome, and we’ve all wished at some point or another for someone else to make them for us. People shy away from the threat of decision fatigue so as to save some of our mental space for the important stuff. Globally, people are simplifying their choices to help de stress and keep their creativity running throughout the day – from wearing a uniform to work, to having someone make lunch plans for you!   Trekurious launched Plated with California Grill, which included a stunning view and exquisite five star meal prepared by the Galadari’s famed dancing chef. Since then it has tasted Mediterranean flavours at Santore, classic Sri Lankan at Casa Colombo, Spanish cultural cuisine at The Curve and even rich North Indian from Maharaja Palace.
