Private dining will reach new heights in Colombo as Trekurious, together with Chesa Swiss and Grape Expectations, unveils Sri Lanka’s first Chef’s Table.
At Trekurious’ ‘Chef’s Table with Chesa Swiss’, guests will enjoy an exclusive four-course meal along with wine.
Traditionally, a Chef’s Table is reserved for VIPs and special guests in the kitchen of a restaurant. Patrons indulge in a themed menu prepared and served by the Head Chef, which showcases his best skills, and is exclusively served to one group, in one sitting.
The heart of this experience lies in highlighting either a core ingredient, or a cooking style, which will be led by Executive Chef Michael Goeggerle.
Having mastered his culinary skills from a young age, German-born Goeggerle has worked in top posts around the world, resulting in finely-honed skills and techniques in a wide variety of ingredients and cooking styles.
He was formerly the Executive Chef at Hotel Gloria in Switzerland and the Head Chef at La Source Grenada in the West Indies. He has been Executive Chef of Chesa Swiss since 2000.
On 7 October a limited few will have the rare opportunity to savour a menu built around this month’s core ingredient - veal - and enjoy wines courtesy of Grape Expectations by Favourite International in the confines of one of Sri Lanka’s oldest family-owned heritage restaurants.
The Chef’s Table will take place on 7 October from 7.30 p.m. onwards at Chesa Swiss, Colombo 3. To make a booking visit www.trekurious.com or call 766059022. For more information please contact Ishani Ranasinghe on 773507606 or [email protected]
