‘Yankee’ style at Sky Lounge with DJ LionDub from NYC

The Kingsbury has paved a path of extensive entertainment leading up to the 4th of July celebrations. Revving it up at the Sky Lounge, July 4th celebrations begin early with DJ Liondub from NYC. DJ Liondub’s musical mindset was formed at the crossroads of major international bass vibrations originating from Jamaica, NYC and the UK. Inspired by the global rhythm culture emanating from the streets beneath his feet, Liondub has spent a lifetime in pursuit of his passion for bottom-heavy beats.

Armed with raw talent, right intentions, a humble demeanor and the tireless determination of a true New Yorker, he began DJing back in ’91, embarking on a journey that has taken him to the four corners of the dub diaspora, from Jamaican Roots Reggae to the Jungle depths of the UK, from high up on Hip-Hop to down-low on Dubstep. On 29 June from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., The Kingsbury’ Sky Lounge together with DJ Liondub will engulf in a Sundown Party that will redefine the parameters of entertainment from the center of Colombo. What could be more fitting to the oceanic ambience during sunset at the Sky Lounge, than a sundown party, especially on Sundays, when only the most dedicated partygoers come out to play? At sunset, the Sky Lounge is a truly magnificent sight, as the great golden sun descends to be engulfed by the bluest sea, DJ Liondub from NYC will be spinning tunes to add spunk to the ambience during the sundown party.
