Zesta, Sri Lanka’s premium tea brand by Watawala Tea Ceylon Ltd. (WTCL), stepped forward as title sponsor of Eat Street CMB 2017, a family-friendly open-air food festival. Organised by Share Innovations, the most anticipated event for local foodies took place on Saturday, 12 August at Green Path Colombo 07.
Eat Street CMB brings together independent vendors as well as popular brands, like Zesta, creating a one-of-a-kind experience for Colombo food enthusiasts. It showcased an array of more than 100 food stalls, merchandise stalls, and stage entertainment. This year’s Eat Street CMB consisted of a movie lounge, CMB Chef’s Theatre, coffee and tea lounges, live DJ and band performances and a special game zone. Participants took part in various competitions as well such as Colombo Eating Challenge and CMB Cooking Challenge. Eat Street CMB was open for the public from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Zesta had a special stall at the CMB Eat Street 2017 where they served iced tea and tea-based mocktails as well as hot tea to visitors during the event, offering them an opportunity to experience the authentic taste of internationally renowned pure Ceylon tea. A special photo booth was also available for the visitors to share a memory with Zesta.
