The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) has announced a fresh issue of Sri Lanka Development Bonds (SLDBs) aimed at raising $ 100 million.
The issue opens today and closes on Friday, with 30 June as the settlement date.
The CBSL will offer $ 100 million worth of SLDBs of 10 months, 1 year 10 months, 2 years 10 months, and 3 years 7 months with a fixed-rate arrangement to be determined through competitive bidding for all maturities.
The last SLDB issue worth $ 750 million (highest in recent years) was in April, and it went undersubscribed by 12%. Of the bids received, CBSL accepted those worth $ 652.6 million and the balance was raised through direct issuance.
