16 Govt. servants among 109 in asylum boat

At least 16 Government servants including a Police Constable were among those arrested over the weekend whilst trying to sail in a boat off Kalkuda to seek asylum in Australia.

Navy nabbed the group numbering 109 at Kalkuda whilst Police separately arrested another 18 in Chillaw for their attempt to sail to Australia illegally. Further investigations are continuing.
