1H worker remittances up 11% to $ 3.14 b

Workers’ remittances in the first half of this year have risen by 11.4% to $ 1.34 billion, according to latest data from the Central Bank.

In June, the inflow amounted to $ 519.6 million, the lowest since $ 476 million in February and has been on the decline month-on-month.
