The Government Printer Gangani Kalpana Liyanage revealed yesterday that the 1 January 2015 Extraordinary Gazette No. 1895/19 relating to the issuance of Treasury Bonds by the Central Bank was actually submitted for printing on 22 December 2016. She told the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into the issuance of Central Bank Treasury bonds that the relevant gazette was submitted for publication by the Central Bank Public Debt Department. 

Liyanage was summoned yesterday to the Presidential Commission of Inquiry after the relevant Extraordinary Gazette came to light when Treasury Secretary Dr. R.H.S. Samaratunga appeared before the commission last Thursday.
