25th Presidential Export Awards today

Sri Lanka Export Development Board (EDB) will host the 25th edition of Presidential Export Awards (PEA) ceremony today at the Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) under the patronage of President Ranil Wickremesinghe.

EDB said the Presidential Export Awards stands as the pinnacle of recognition bestowed by the President upon exporters who have made exceptional contributions to the country’s export sector and economic advancement. This esteemed accolade seeks to honour and acknowledge exporters who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in exports, fostering the growth in economic development. 

The PEA initiated by EDB in 1981, had organised 24 ceremonies thus far. Today’s ceremony will see a participation of around 1,500 invitees including Ministers, Diplomatic corps, Government officials, Award winners as well as exporters. 

The PEA 2023 is organised by EDB under the supervision of Chairman and CEO Dr. Kingsley Bernard and directions of State Minister of Investment Promotion Dilum Amunugama and Ministry Secretary M.M. Nayeemudeen.
