AG clears instructions on destruction of Indian contraband suspected to be COVID-19 contaminated

The Attorney General has approved a set of written instructions to be followed by all Police Officers in the destruction of contraband of Indian origin in cases of suspected contamination due to COVID-19.

The instructions had been submitted to the AG by the Acting IGP for clearance, an AG Department official said.

The AG informed the procedure will have to be carried out under the instructions of the competent authority in keeping with the regulations promulgated under the Quarantine Ordinance.
