Access gets BOT logistics facility contract from Govt.

Access Group has been selected by the Government for a Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT) deal for a logistics facility in Ekala – Ja-Ela.

In a brief statement, the Government said Access Logistics Park Ekala Ltd., was selected following a competitive process and evaluation of technical and financial proposals submitted. 

The Cabinet of Ministers, at its meeting on Tuesday, approved the proposal in this regard submitted by Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa as the Minister of Urban Development and Housing for lease of the property on a long-term basis, subject to the estimation of the Government Chief Valuer.

The Government invited proposals from the private sector on a competitive basis for implementation of a development project related to supply facilities and related development project in relation to a land in extent of 36 acres and one rood, and 27.6 perches situated in Ekala – Ja-Ela belonging to the Urban Development Authority, subject to the basis of planning, building, financing, ownership, monitoring and transferring.
