In response to President Maithripala Sirisena’s remark yesterday that Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe was surrounded by “butterflies” who took most of the Government decisions, Finance and Media Minister Mangala Samaraweera tweeted: “I would rather be a butterfly than a leech Mr. President!!!”
In his reference to butterflies, Sirisena did not name anyone other than Wickremesinghe.
